Letterboxd Redesign Concept

Letterboxd Redesign Concept

Problem

The mobile and desktop versions of Letterboxd, a film-logging service, are not aligned. During a quick design exercise, I wanted to bring these two versions of the platform together for a more cohesive experience.

Approach

This was a short 4-hour exercise completed during the interview process at Craft Studios. Due to the short timeframe, I had to condense my process.

I began with a quick heuristic analysis of the site, identifying areas where mobile and desktop versions misaligned. I quickly sketched some rough layouts during this step.

To gather some further insight, I asked some friends who use the platform about their opinion about certain areas that I identified. This helped give some basis of data to make decisions.

I then jumped to high-fidelity wireframes and created mockups that reflected my concepts.
